Gajraj Fire-Rated Sliding Doors are robustly constructed using 18 SWG GI/MS steel sheets, with an overall insulated panel thickness of 40–42 mm, designed to deliver reliable fire containment performance at a rated temperature of 68°C. The door assembly is supported by a heavy-duty sliding rail and guide system, ensuring smooth and stable linear movement during both normal and emergency operation. Key components include a fusible link mechanism, galvanized wire rope, precision bottom rollers, and a calibrated counterweight system, all engineered for dependable fire-response performance.
Under normal operating conditions, the door remains in the open position, allowing unrestricted movement of personnel and materials. In the event of a fire, the fusible link melts at the rated temperature, releasing the counterweight mechanism. This activates a gravity-assisted closing action, whereby the counterweight pulls the door panel along the wire rope and rail system, ensuring automatic, controlled, and fail-safe closure without reliance on external power.
This self-activating fire-response mechanism effectively restricts the spread of fire, heat, and smoke between compartments, enhancing overall building safety. Gajraj Fire-Rated Sliding Doors are ideally suited for industrial facilities, warehouses, and large service openings, providing a reliable, low-maintenance, and code-compliant passive fire protection solution.
